About Me

I'm a master's student in English at the University of Missouri-Kansas City focusing in Manuscript, Print Culture, and Editing. My original idea was to become a book editor, but I quickly discovered that having my BA in English wasn't enough. You know the old adage - you have to have experience to get a job, but you have to have a job to get experience.

I've begun to turn my attention toward doing research and teaching at the collegiate level. I have one paper published thus far, original research about how Harry Potter fans are reacting to J. K. Rowling's transphobic tweets (the answer: not well). Expanding this research will be the focus of my thesis.

In my free time, I don't have free time. I play a few video games on the Switch (mainly things like Animal Crossing and Cult of the Lamb), I do hard drugs to cure my depression, and I go to physical therapy. If that last one sounds exciting, I recommend that you too go and break both your ankles falling off a curb like an idiot.
